Phase assemblage1973χ + bcc
alloy: Nb 0.172, Re 0.516
experimental[1] Yen 2020p. 21
report
Therefore, we chose to investigate the Mo-Nb-Re alloy with a nominal composition within this tie-triangle, i.e., Mo-17.2 at.%Nb-51.6 at.%Re, equilibrated at the same temperature (1973K) for verification. However, as shown in the BSE micrograph and the XRD pattern (Figs. 3 (a) and (b), respectively), a two-phase equilibrium between the χ and bcc phases was found, which is contradictory to the data…
Phase assemblage2173χ + bcc
alloy: Nb 0.172, Re 0.516
experimental[1] Yen 2020p. 21
report
As expected, the one at the highest annealing temperature (2373K) showed the best crystallinity and the most coarsened grain structure. Nevertheless, Similar to that at 1973K, the χ + bcc two-phase equilibrium was observed at both 2173 and 2373K. As summarized in Table V, the average composition of the χ phase does not change much among the three temperature, ranging from Mo-15.5 at.%Nb-63.9 at.%…
Phase assemblage2373χ + bcc
alloy: Nb 0.172, Re 0.516
experimental[1] Yen 2020p. 21
report
As summarized in Table V, the average composition of the χ phase does not change much among the three temperature, ranging from Mo-15.5 at.%Nb-63.9 at.%Re to Mo13.9 at.%Nb-63.1 at.%Re. On the other hand, the contents of the bcc phase show a clear trend between 1973 and 2373K. The average composition of the bcc phase varies from Mo-19.3 at.%Nb34.8 at.%Re to Mo-18.8. at.%Nb-37.5 at.%Re and Mo-17.5…
